“I love animals and bugs, even though some look a little funny. I also love sports. I am currently going to be a sophomore at Austin High School.

Your Dreams and Plans after High school.

After completing my high school education, I intend to pursue a career at the Port Of Houston, where I plan to live a comfortable life.

If you could grow up to be famous what would you want to be famous for?

I guess I’d wanna be known for just being me and help people and animals.

You received an award for Outstanding Scholar award, the first of its kind to be awarded. Tells us how you make an impact on your campus. Please share details on why you lead, how you lead and why this matters to girls on your campus.

“”I make an impact on my campus by being me and recognizing people’s ideas and feelings.

I’m not a natural leader, but when I do step up, I make sure everyone feels included and their ideas are heard. It’s important to let everyone contribute, because even the quiet ones have something to offer. When you show them that you’re there for them and acknowledge their contributions, they really blossom.” 

What is your name?

Answer: I’m Maria.

Can you share any fun or interesting thing about you, including your school and grade?

Answer: of course I am very social and can get along with anyone; I also dye my hair a lot and can get very creative with it.
I am a student at Worthing High School, going into my junior year of high school.

What are your Dreams and Plans after High school?

Answer: My dreams after high school would be going to trade school, to pick up some sort of trade; it could be welding or cosmetology!

If you could grow up to be famous what would you want to be famous for?

Answer: I want to be famous for educating and advocating for the Mexican American culture

Answers: The way I make impact on campus is having more students come and participate in the program and helping them find their path in life especially after school where we get to make big decisions.

My goal for this school year is to inspire many young females as I can, and be their support if they need it.
