Happy International Women’s day!

On this day we reflect on the progress women have made to contribute to our society, we celebrate the courage displayed by ordinary girls and women, and we raise a call for action to Empower, Mentor, and Sponsor Ladies in our various communities to help achieve a better-balanced world.

We decided to catch up with one of our LeadHer Champions, Madison Richard – a Senior at Wheatley High school. We are so proud of her journey and we are excited about her future.

[Madision] My family describes me as the goofy one in the family. I love cracking jokes, playing tricks on my day, cooking, Tik Tok, dancing, swimming, love going to the mall, hanging out with my friends.

[Madision] My plans after High School is to attend Prairie View A&M University to study Nursing and pursue my teacher certification in Science or Kinesiology.

[Madision] I’d want to be famous for doing research and finding a cure for incurable diseases.

[Madision] My most memorable moment in high school was being inducted into the National Honor Society and being named the new starting catcher for the Varsity Softball Team.

[Madision] Be more serious about taking advice from those who have already experienced what we are about to experience.
